Airtel Nigeria has been inducted into the National Education Technology (EdTech) Strategy Technical Working Group (TWG), inaugurated by the Federal Ministry of Education in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Education.
The TWG will develop a coordinated framework to integrate technology across Nigeria’s education system, fostering inclusivity, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and long-term sustainability. It will also deliver a 3–5-year roadmap to accelerate the adoption of digital learning tools nationwide.
Speaking on the development, Airtel Nigeria noted that its participation reflects its longstanding commitment to digital inclusion and education access.
“This milestone aligns deeply with our mission of touching lives,” the company said. “Through initiatives like our UNICEF Reimagine Education partnership, we have connected more than 1,260 schools and impacted over 800,000 learners, while also supporting the Renewed Hope Digital Skills Bridge programme.”
Airtel Nigeria emphasized that its involvement in the TWG is part of its broader vision to equip Nigeria’s youth with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in the digital economy.
