Cavista Names OSKA Aiyeleso CEO of Matna Foods

In a move that signals its long-term commitment to agribusiness transformation, Cavista Holdings has appointed Mr. Seyi “OSKA” Aiyeleso as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Matna Foods Company Limited, effective immediately.

The appointment follows Cavista’s recent acquisition of Matna Foods and represents a deliberate step toward deeper integration across cultivation and processing within Nigeria’s cassava ecosystem. Aiyeleso will continue in his current capacity as MD/CEO of Agbeyewa Farms, creating a unified leadership structure designed to accelerate value creation from farm to factory.

With over 30 years of cross-sector experience spanning FMCG, oil and gas, and the public sector, Aiyeleso is widely regarded for his operational discipline and growth-focused leadership. At Agbeyewa Farms, Africa’s largest cassava farm, he has been driving a bold 12-point transformation agenda aimed at modernizing agricultural practices, improving productivity, and contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s food security goals.

Now, his expanded role positions him to connect large-scale cassava cultivation directly with Matna Foods’ processing capabilities. The alignment is expected to improve efficiency, ensure supply chain stability, and unlock new opportunities for farmers, suppliers, and industrial customers alike.

Matna Foods, which brings more than two decades of expertise in producing international-standard, multi-purpose cassava starch, is poised to scale under the new leadership framework.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman of Cavista Holdings and Agbeyewa, Mr. Niyi John Olajide, described the decision as strategic and future-focused.

Aiyeleso holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from the University of Jos and an MBA from Bayero University, Kano. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, reflecting his continued commitment to leadership development and strategic excellence.

The appointment underscores Cavista Holdings’ broader ambition: to modernize operations where necessary, scale responsibly, and strengthen collaboration across its agricultural portfolio.
