betPawa, Guinness, Minimie Back Big Brother Naija Season 11 with Record ₦160m Prize
Big Brother Naija is set to return for its 11th season on July 26, with leading brands betPawa, Guinness and Minimie taking centre stage as sponsors of what promises to be the reality show's biggest edition yet.
The sponsorship lineup underscores the enduring appeal of Africa's biggest reality television franchise as a powerful marketing platform for brands seeking to engage millions of consumers across the continent.
Online betting platform betPawa joins the show for the first time as Headline Sponsor, while Guinness returns as Gold Sponsor, reinforcing its long-standing association with the programme. Food brand Minimie also comes on board as an Associate Sponsor, reflecting growing corporate confidence in the show's ability to deliver large-scale audience engagement and brand visibility.
This year's winner will receive the largest prize in the history of the franchise, a ₦160 million grand prize, comprising ₦100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, raising anticipation for another highly competitive season.
Commenting on betPawa's partnership, Borah Omary Ndanyungu, Head of Local Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility at betPawa, said the sponsorship aligns with the company's commitment to creating memorable consumer experiences.
"At betPawa, we believe in creating unforgettable experiences that bring people together through the things they are passionate about. Big Brother Naija is one of Africa's most celebrated entertainment properties, and we are proud to come on board as Headline Sponsor for Season 11. We look forward to rewarding fans, deepening engagement throughout the season and delivering exciting experiences that complement the energy and excitement of the show."
The sponsorship is expected to give betPawa access to one of the continent's largest entertainment audiences, enabling the brand to deepen consumer engagement through activations and fan-focused experiences throughout the season.
For Guinness, the partnership marks another opportunity to strengthen its connection with Nigeria's youthful audience, while Minimie's debut as an associate sponsor highlights the growing appeal of the platform to brands seeking relevance in popular culture.
Speaking on the partnerships, Atinuke Babatunde, Executive Head, Content and Channels, West Africa, MultiChoice, said the calibre of sponsors reflects the continued commercial value of the Big Brother Naija platform.
"We are delighted to welcome betPawa as our Headline Sponsor alongside Guinness and Minimie, whose partnership reflects the enduring value and impact of the Big Brother Naija platform," she said.
According to Babatunde, the new season builds on the show's legacy of delivering compelling entertainment and authentic storytelling that resonates with millions of viewers across Africa.
Since its revival in 2017, Big Brother Naija has grown beyond a reality television programme into one of Africa's most influential entertainment properties, creating opportunities for brands, content creators and businesses while shaping youth culture and consumer trends.
Hosted once again by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Season 11 premieres on Sunday, July 26, with the launch show airing from 7:00 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family.
