Three Crowns Milk, the flagship dairy brand of FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, has crowned Olaide Adesina as the Three Crowns Mum of the Year 2026, celebrating her inspiring journey of motherhood at the grand finale of its flagship wellness initiative held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the Classique Event Centre, Oregun, Lagos.The grand finale, held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the Classique Event Centre in Oregun, Lagos, marked the eighth edition of the competition, which celebrates mothers for their dedication, resilience and commitment to family wellbeing.
Adesina emerged winner after a rigorous selection process that began with more than 150,000 valid entries submitted by mothers across Nigeria. An independent panel shortlisted the top 10 contestants, who then advanced to a public voting stage on the brand's social media platforms before six finalists competed at the grand finale.
Omotola Ade-Onojobi and Hajara Omoniyi finished as first and second runners-up, respectively. The top three winners, alongside two members of their families each, received an all-expense-paid trip to Zanzibar, Tanzania, a one-year supply of Three Crowns Milk products and shopping vouchers.
The other finalists; Akpan Chika Cindy, Edna Kangna'an and Rita Robert Joseph received a double-door refrigerator, a supply of Three Crowns Milk products and a cash prize of ₦500,000 each.
This year's finale, themed "Crowning Our Treasures," featured a theatre-style production that brought the finalists' personal stories to life through drama, live music and stage performances. Hosted by media personality Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, the event attracted families, consumers, business partners, stakeholders and members of the media.
The finalists were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising actress Chizzy Alichi Mbah, entrepreneur Ifedayo Durosinmi-Etti, wellness advocate Jamila Lawal and fitness expert Ekerette Ekemini (Kemen Fitness). Contestants were assessed on physical wellness, mental agility, emotional intelligence and family engagement.
Speaking at the event, Marketing Director of FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Maureen Ifada, said the initiative reflects the company's commitment to recognising mothers and promoting their wellbeing.
"For over a decade, Three Crowns Mum of the Year has been our way of saying thank you to the women who hold our families and our nation together," she said.
She added that the 2026 edition demonstrated the brand's continued commitment to championing the health and wellbeing of Nigerian mothers.
Marketing Manager for Three Crowns Milk, Chioma Otisi-Igwe, said the competition was designed to celebrate women whose daily sacrifices often go unnoticed.
"Every story we heard reminded us that behind every strong family is a mum whose love, sacrifice and resilience often go unseen," she said.
Reacting to her victory, Adesina described the award as both humbling and inspiring.
"I never imagined my story would bring me here. I entered this journey as an ordinary mum doing my best for my family, and tonight I stand crowned before Nigeria. This is for my children and every mother giving her all every single day," she said.
According to the organisers, the Three Crowns Mum of the Year initiative continues to promote nutrition, healthy living and maternal wellbeing while recognising the contributions of mothers to stronger families and communities across Nigeria.
