Glo Raises the Stakes in Data Market with New ‘More Data More Value’ Offe

As competition intensifies in Nigeria's increasingly data-driven telecommunications sector, digital services provider Globacom has unveiled a new customer-focused initiative, “More Data More Value,” offering subscribers additional data benefits across selected plans in a move aimed at enhancing digital access and delivering greater value for money.

The offer, which provides subscribers with more than 10 percent extra value on selected data bundles, underscores the growing importance of data affordability as consumers increasingly rely on mobile connectivity for work, entertainment, education and business activities.

Announcing the initiative in a statement released in Lagos, Globacom said the package was developed to ensure that customers receive greater digital value from every naira spent on data services.

According to the company, the initiative reinforces its long-standing commitment to making connectivity more accessible and empowering Nigerians to participate fully in the digital economy.

"The new offer is designed to ensure that every naira spent by a Nigerian consumer yields the highest possible digital return," the company stated.

Under the "More Data More Value" proposition, subscribers can access enhanced weekly and monthly data plans tailored to different usage needs. The ₦1,000 weekly bundle offers a total of 3.7GB, comprising 1.7GB regular data and 2GB night browsing allocation, while the ₦2,000 weekly package delivers 9GB, including 6.5GB main data and 2.5GB night data.

Monthly subscribers are also set to benefit, with the ₦1,500 plan providing 5.2GB of data and the ₦5,000 package offering 16.5GB. For heavier users, Globacom has introduced larger bundles, including a ₦10,000 plan that comes with 42GB of data and a ₦15,000 package that offers 64GB.

The company noted that the plans have been structured to support the growing digital lifestyles of Nigerians, including video streaming, remote work, online gaming, social networking and other high-bandwidth activities. The offer is also expected to benefit households and small businesses that increasingly depend on reliable internet connectivity for daily operations.

To enhance customer experience, Globacom encouraged subscribers to manage their subscriptions through the Glo Café application, which provides a seamless platform for purchasing, monitoring and managing data bundles.

Industry analysts say initiatives such as "More Data More Value" reflect the evolving dynamics of Nigeria's telecommunications market, where operators are increasingly focusing on value-added offerings to attract and retain subscribers amid rising demand for data services.

For Globacom, the latest offer represents another strategic step in its efforts to democratise digital access, strengthen customer loyalty and ensure that more Nigerians can stay connected while maximizing value from their telecommunications spend.

With data consumption continuing to surge across the country, the company's latest initiative is expected to resonate strongly with consumers seeking greater affordability and flexibility in an increasingly connected world.
