FanMilk Nigeria Appoints Oreoluwa Atinmo as First Female Managing Director
FanMilk Nigeria has appointed Oreoluwa Mobolaji Atinmo as its new Managing Director, making history as the first woman to lead the company since its establishment.
The appointment, which took effect on April 1, 2026, represents a significant leadership milestone for the dairy and food company and underscores its commitment to nurturing local talent, advancing diversity and inclusion, and strengthening indigenous leadership.
In her new role, Atinmo will spearhead FanMilk Nigeria's next phase of growth, with responsibility for accelerating business performance, deepening consumer engagement and enhancing the company's route-to-market capabilities in one of Africa's largest consumer markets.
The company said her appointment reflects confidence in her extensive experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector and her proven ability to drive innovation, commercial growth and operational excellence.
Before joining FanMilk Nigeria, Atinmo served as Marketing Director at GB Foods Nigeria, where she led several high-impact campaigns that strengthened the company's market presence and consumer engagement.
Among her notable achievements was leading the campaign behind the Gino World Jollof Festival in Lagos, where celebrity chef Hilda Baci partnered with the Gino brand to set a Guinness World Record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style Jollof Rice. The record-breaking event produced an 8,780-kilogram pot of Jollof Rice and became one of the country's most celebrated brand activation campaigns.
Atinmo brings more than 15 years of cross-industry leadership experience spanning the FMCG, energy and manufacturing sectors, having held strategic roles at Shell, Heineken and GB Foods.
Widely recognised as a commercially driven business leader, she has built a reputation for delivering revenue growth, improving profitability and leading business transformation across complex African markets.
Her career has also been defined by breaking barriers. She began her professional journey at Heineken Nigeria as the company's first female engineer before transitioning into commercial leadership, where she steadily built expertise across marketing, strategy and business management.
That progression from engineering into executive leadership has positioned her as one of Nigeria's leading female business executives, combining technical knowledge with deep commercial insight and consumer understanding.
Industry observers say her appointment reflects a broader shift within multinational organisations towards promoting experienced local executives into top leadership positions while advancing gender diversity at the highest levels of corporate management.
As Managing Director, Atinmo is expected to build on FanMilk Nigeria's strong market position by driving sustainable growth, strengthening customer relationships and delivering greater value for consumers, business partners and shareholders.
Her appointment also reinforces the increasing recognition of women as transformational leaders within Nigeria's consumer goods industry, signalling a new chapter for FanMilk Nigeria as it pursues its long-term growth ambitions.
