Power of Shared Success: How Maureen Omotuemen Ifada Builds Growth That Multiplies

“Leadership is as much about balance and humanity as it is about results.”

In today’s fast-moving and fiercely competitive marketplace, where growth is often measured in numbers alone, Maureen Omotuemen Ifada represents a more enduring model of success, one built not just on outcomes, but on impact. Her career is a powerful expression of a simple but transformative idea: the most sustainable growth is the kind that is shared.

Her journey reflects the true spirit of the International Women’s Day 2026 theme, Give to Gain, a philosophy she has consistently translated into action across every stage of her professional evolution.

Maureen’s career began as a Management Trainee in the Consumer Marketing Department, a foundation that immersed her in the complexities of Nigeria’s competitive FMCG landscape. Rising through the ranks to become Senior Brand Manager for Three Crowns Milk and later Marketing Manager for Peak Milk, widely recognized as Nigeria’s number one dairy brand, she quickly established herself as a strategic force in brand building.

In these roles, she led portfolio strategy, managed Profit & Loss and Advertising & Promotion investments, and drove integrated communication campaigns from consumer insight to execution. Yet, beyond driving performance metrics, she was building something far more valuable, trust, relevance, and enduring brand equity. Her work demonstrated that strong brands are not just seen; they are believed in.

Her transition in 2019 into Customer Development and Shopper Marketing marked a pivotal expansion of her commercial expertise. As Head of Shopper Marketing across Modern Trade, E-Commerce, Alternative Trade Business, and Food Service Professionals, Maureen immersed herself in the full path-to-purchase journey. Here, she developed tailored shopper strategies designed not only to drive conversion at retail level, but to create meaningful value across the entire ecosystem, from customers to retailers to end consumers.

By investing in collaboration and strategic partnership within the trade environment, she reinforced a key leadership principle: when you give clarity and value to the ecosystem, you gain stronger market presence and sustainable growth.

Her appointment in January 2022 as Head of Channel & Category Development for FrieslandCampina’s Sub-Saharan Africa Cluster marked yet another defining chapter. In this role, she conceptualized overarching channel and category strategies, translating brand vision into high-impact, in-market execution. Her work ensured that products achieved not just availability, but visibility, relevance, and prominence at the critical point of purchase.

Through strategic alignment and shared ownership, she empowered teams and partners to execute with precision, proving that when leadership distributes responsibility effectively, performance accelerates collectively.

Today, as Marketing Director, Maureen operates with a holistic view of business growth. She leads the development and execution of marketing strategies aligned with corporate objectives, drives financial planning for profitable expansion, and ensures disciplined budget management for optimal return on investment. At the heart of her leadership is a commitment to building high-performing teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration, bridging strategy with execution in a way that delivers measurable and lasting results.

Her professional excellence is supported by strong academic and professional credentials. She holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ambrose Alli University. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, a Certified Management Consultant, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom, credentials that reflect both technical depth and a commitment to continuous growth.

But beyond qualifications and career milestones, what truly defines Maureen is her belief that giving is a strategic act of leadership.

    Giving direction builds stronger brands.
    Giving mentorship shapes future leaders.
    Giving collaboration strengthens entire ecosystems.

And in return, organizations gain resilience, profitability, and long-term relevance.

A multi-skilled business leader with a strong foundation in both marketing and sales, Maureen combines analytical precision with a deeply human approach to leadership. She thrives on new challenges, bold ideas, and opportunities that stretch her capabilities. Yet, she remains grounded, finding joy in family, music, travel, and reading, a reminder that true leadership is as much about balance as it is about performance.

Maureen Omotuemen Ifada’s journey offers a compelling message for a new era of leadership: when expertise, vision, and opportunity are shared intentionally, their impact does not diminish, it multiplies.

    Brands grow stronger.
    Teams perform better.
    Markets expand.
    Communities benefit.

In giving strategically, she continues to gain influence, drive growth, and build lasting impact, proving that Give to Gain is not just a theme, but a powerful blueprint for sustainable success.
