Boidun Adefila is a proficient and strategic business leader with decades of cross functional experience covering brand management, business process improvement, strategic planning, and business development climbing through the ranks of multi-disciplinary roles across diverse sectors – financial institutions, multinationals (FMCGs), hospitality (QSRs), government (within Nigeria and across SSA)
She started her career as a field research & planning executive. This began the journey and stoked a passion for identifying and categorising market segments to deepen consumer understanding and grow opportunities for message connection. At mid-level management she transferred to brand and relationship management, managing multi-million-naira brands across key sectors of the economy covering, private, public and government organisations including non-profits. This brought a broader view of the communications space encompassing various other disciplines like perception management, experiential, digital marketing, content strategy and marketing, media planning and buying, print and electronic production values, etc.
Biodun has a thorough understanding of market dynamics. Her expertise in leveraging knowledge of market analysis and business development to devise effective brand communication strategies across emerging markets enabled her drive growth and transformation resulting in sustainable and highly rewarding results.
As a leadership facilitator, she is proficient at building high performing teams, ensuring process optimization, efficiently managing stakeholders and completing complex projects in time sensitive settings.
Biodun was awarded Outstanding Advertising Personality of the Year 2019 – Marketing Edge.
Brand Communicator named her one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing in 2022.
She holds an MBA (Marketing) from the University of Liverpool, UK and an Advance Management Programme (AMP) certificate from the Lagos Business School.
She was a member of the SO&U and Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria’s (AAAN) boards. Biodun is the immediate past Chairman of Women in Advertising (WIA), a committee within AAAN championing the cause of women in the industry.
