UBA Unveils Revamped Website, Redefining Digital Banking Experience Across Africa

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Africa’s Global Bank, has launched its newly revamped Group website, delivering a faster, smarter, and more intuitive platform that raises the bar for digital engagement in African banking.

The upgraded site introduces a host of premium features, from live financial news updates and real-time Nigerian Stock Exchange prices to enhanced accessibility and performance,  positioning UBA at the forefront of customer-centric digital transformation.

The redesign is part of UBA’s broader strategy to fuse technology, speed, and accessibility into a seamless user journey for its over 45 million customers and stakeholders across 20 African countries, as well as in the UK, USA, France, and UAE.

Speaking on the launch, Alero Ladipo, Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, described the upgrade as a “milestone in UBA’s digital transformation journey.” She explained:

“Our goal was to create a world-class platform that meets the evolving needs of customers, investors, and partners. With a sleek interface, intuitive navigation, and responsive design across devices, users can now access critical information instantly, whether it’s breaking market news, live stock prices, or our wide range of banking services.”
A standout element of the redesign is its speed, powered by upgraded server infrastructure, enhanced load balancing, and minimal downtime. The site integrates automated news feeds from Bloomberg and delivers live market data, enabling customers to make faster, more informed decisions.

Amanda Oguamanam, Head of Digital and Online Marketing, highlighted the site’s streamlined design and inclusivity: “We reduced clutter by over 60%, improved accessibility for users with disabilities, introduced dark/light mode toggles, and upgraded our search functions. This is more than a facelift ,  it’s a re-engineering for speed, reliability, and global relevance.”

Other new features include simplified content architecture, enhanced navigation pathways, and a language-agnostic framework that caters to UBA’s diverse global audience.

With 25,000 employees worldwide and a presence in major financial hubs, UBA continues to reinforce its position as a technology-driven industry leader, championing financial inclusion and redefining how African banks engage with customers in the digital era.
