Stephen Blewett has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at MTN Ghana, succeeding Selorm Adadevoh, who has transitioned to the position of Chief Commercial Officer within the MTN Group.
Mr. Blewett brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as MTN’s Operations Executive for Markets. In this capacity, he oversaw operations in the Group’s smaller West and Central Africa markets and provided operational support across the region.
Prior to rejoining MTN in July 2023, Stephen Blewett held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Digicel. His tenure at MTN spans seven years, during which he served as CEO for MTN Benin and subsequently MTN Cameroon.
In welcoming Stephen Blewett to the MTN Ghana team, Ishmael Yamson, Chairman of the Board, expressed confidence in his ability to lead the company towards achieving its Ambition 2025 strategy and beyond.
Stephen Blewett brings a strong skill set to his new role, with expertise in negotiation, business planning, customer experience, business development, and marketing strategy. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on finance, economics, business administration, and marketing from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
His extensive background in the telecommunications industry positions him well to steer MTN Ghana through its next phase of growth and innovation.
