The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), under the leadership of its President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, is set to host the National Unveiling of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF Abuja 2026), a landmark event that will place Nigeria at the heart of global public relations conversations.
The unveiling ceremony will take place on Monday, October 20, 2025, at The Banquet Hall, NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.. The event will be graced by the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, fnipr, who will officiate as the Chief Communicator of the Federation.
Themed “Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World,” the ceremony marks the official kick-off of registration for the World Public Relations Forum Abuja 2026, a global convergence of communication leaders, scholars, practitioners, and institutions.
According to the NIPR, this historic moment underscores Nigeria’s growing influence in shaping global communication narratives and demonstrates the country’s readiness to host one of the most prestigious events in the international PR calendar.
The Forum, scheduled for 2026 in Abuja, is expected to attract thousands of delegates from across the world, providing a platform to spotlight Nigeria’s public relations practice, foster international collaborations, and exchange knowledge on responsible and impactful communication.
The NIPR is inviting stakeholders across government, corporate organisations, academia, media, and the broader communication community to attend the unveiling and be part of this defining chapter in Nigeria’s PR history.
