As the 2024 National Marketing Conference approaches, the President and Chairman of Council, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has announced that the event will focus on stimulating economic growth through discussions aimed at supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), the lifewire of any nation.
Themed “Empowering Nigerian Brands: Leveraging Local Content for Global Success,” the Conference which is billed to hold from 20th to 22nd June, is expected to draw national and international delegates from partnering institutions worldwide. The event will feature insightful discourses with industry veterans who will provide guidance on leading sustainable growth on a global scale.
“We are focusing on how the Institute can support growth not just for the country but for SMEs as well,” the President stated. “We have undergone sustainable business transformation through technology. Last year, we examined the role of ethics in business and nation-building. This year, we aim to empower Nigerian brands by leveraging local content for global success. A key factor here is local content and intellectual property. We will have distinguished intellectual property counsel as our keynote speaker and a strong panel of distinguished individuals who embody the Nigerian brand and eco-space.”
He added, “We are introducing something unique this time—practical case studies. Companies will share their experiences of evolving from local brands to achieving global recognition and status. It promises to be a highly interactive and engaging conference.”
In addition to the discussions, the Conference will also include an electoral process to elect a new First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, and fill two Council seats.
The President urged members to take advantage of the Conference to acquire essential knowledge and build networks that will enhance their businesses and improve their professional expertise.
