Television personality and accomplished professional, Morayo Brown, has been appointed as the Managing Director of TVCe, the Entertainment Channel of TVC Communications, a prominent independent broadcasting company in Nigeria. Morayo, widely known as the lead anchor of the popular TV show “Your View,” shared this exciting announcement on her social media platforms.
Expressing her joy, Morayo stated, “I am excitingly pleased to announce my recent appointment as the Managing Director of TVCe, the Entertainment Channel of TVC Communications. A seasoned Media Content Creator with 15 years of experience in the industry, Morayo is considered one of Nigeria’s leading TV hosts. Her career includes roles such as Commercial Director and Group Head of Content Development & Acquisition at HiTV, Nigeria’s foremost indigenous cable station.
She most recently served as Deputy Director of Programmes at TVC, where she created and produced top-rated daily content.
Morayo also works as a project consultant and coordinator for an American company involved in extensive work with the Lagos state government on education. She graduated top of her class at Rutgers University in New Jersey and holds certifications in Customer Service, Public Relations, Public Speaking, Content Development, Scriptwriting, and Neurolinguistics programming.
Beginning her media career in 2005 as a Client Service Manager at CMC Connect, a PR company, Morayo later moved to CUE Media, a content development company, where she served as the Head of Content and Development. She also held the position of Senior Executive, Marketing and Research. Morayo played a significant role in creating concepts such as “Girlfriends” (TV drama series), “Changing Lives” (Talk Show), and “Shop Easy.” Her journey continued as the Business Development Manager and later Head of Content and Channels Acquisition at HiTV before joining TVC as the Deputy Director of Programmes.
Morayo is the convener and anchor of “Your View,” the number one breakfast chat show on Nigerian television, where she has hosted over 1,800 episodes. In 2020, she was recognized as one of the 25 most powerful women in journalism in Nigeria, ranking 18th on the list compiled by Women in Journalism Africa.
