As the Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) prepares for its upcoming elections to usher in a new Executive Committee, President Dr. Femi Adelusi assures members of a credible and transparent process. With the integration of technology to enhance transparency, Adelusi aims to ensure the integrity of the elections.
Anticipation is high for this pivotal election, set to take place during MIPAN’s Annual General Meeting at Lakowe Lakes and Country Estate, Lagos tomorrow. The event is expected to draw past Presidents, association members, and industry veterans like George Thorpe, who will lead a fireside chat on “Agency Capitalization as Consideration for Sustainability and Growth.”
In an exclusive interview with The Brand Colossus, President Adelusi expressed satisfaction with the level of interest from individuals vying for various positions, highlighting the importance of their commitment to industry growth.
He said: “There is a lot interest from people who want to serve. It is a testament that they have seen that this is serious business and that the impact we have in the industry is obvious and so many of them will like to contribute to the growth and development of the industry.
Adelusi emphasized the digital nature of the election, assuring members of a fail-proof process monitored remotely from start to finish. He stressed the transparency of the process, ensuring that results would be published, accessible, and verifiable.
Looking ahead, Adelusi encouraged his successor to maintain focus, resilience, and determination amidst rapid industry changes, emphasizing the need for commitment and dedication to drive progress.
