Maureen Omi Ifada Promoted to Marketing Director of FrieslandCampina Nigeria

Maureen Omi Ifada, a seasoned industry professional, has been appointed as the Marketing Director of a leading diary company in Nigeria, a subsidiary of the Dutch multinational FrieslandCampina Nigeria. This announcement follows the departure of Chris Wulff-Ceaser, the former Marketing Director for Sub Saharan Africa at FrieslandCampina, who left the company after more than three years in the role.

This transition may signify part of the ongoing transformation and restructuring within FrieslandCampina’s business operations.

Ifada, previously serving as the Head of Channel & Category Development (Sub Saharan Africa) at FrieslandCampina WAMCO, officially assumes her new role. Her responsibilities will include steering the overall marketing direction of the multinational diary giants in Nigeria.

With a commendable 15-year career at FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Ifada has progressed through various roles, starting as a Brand Manager and advancing to positions such as Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, and most recently, Head of Channel & Category Development for Sub-Saharan Africa.

In her prior role, Ifada played a pivotal role in formulating marketing strategies across different channels and categories, fostering partnerships to drive sales, and ensuring product visibility and prominence in retail outlets. Her extensive experience with the company’s brands and operations positions her well to lead marketing efforts across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Meanwhile, Wulff-Caesar, the former Marketing Director for Sub Saharan Africa, is departing FrieslandCampina after his tenure and is reportedly exploring new opportunities outside Nigeria.

Maureen Ifada holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ambrose Alli University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Edinburgh. With her new appointment, the company anticipates further strengthening its marketing endeavors and enhancing engagement across its core markets in Sub-Saharan Africa.
