The Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA) has announced plans to launch an ambitious new program designed to champion environmental sustainability while simultaneously giving back to the community. In an innovative move, the agency will collect used campaign flex materials, recycling them into eco-friendly school bags for underprivileged students across Lagos State. This initiative reinforces LASAA’s ongoing mission to blend environmental responsibility with social impact.
In line with its vision of driving sustainability, LASAA aims to repurpose these materials into something valuable, thereby reducing waste and supporting educational efforts in underserved communities. Commemorating its first year in office, LASAA’s Managing Director, Fatiu Akiolu, previously distributed eco-friendly bags made from recycled advertising boards and banners, alongside exercise books, to students. This effort not only equipped students with essential learning tools but also underscored the importance of environmental stewardship. The initiative showcased LASAA’s unwavering dedication to empowering future generations through both education and sustainability.
Building on this success, LASAA will soon launch its new flex-material collection program. Through this initiative, campaign flex materials will be gathered, transformed, and given new life as free school bags for underprivileged children. According to LASAA, this program is not only about providing students with necessary supplies but also about instilling a deeper understanding of recycling and sustainability in young minds.
