The Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed, has lent his support for the rebrand Nigeria initiative, spearheaded by the Advertising industry under the leadership of the Advertising Regulatory Agencies of Nigeria (ARCON).
This is in recognition of the industry’s impressive professional acumen, which can be effectively harnessed to reshape the country’s image and perception.
In a statement signed by Dr. Fadolapo, the Director General of the apex advertising regulatory agency, the rebrand initiative has the potential to unlock new opportunities and foster positive engagement both domestically and internationally.
While asserting that the regulatory agency has constituted a committee headed by Steve Babaeko, the President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, the statement added that the rebrand initiative will involve an extensive and in depth research into the brand Nigeria to identify critical elements that will be the focal point for the communication campaign.
“The Committee has been mandated to examine our country’s brand DNA with the aim of developing communication that will resonate with our people, promote our cultural diversity and enhance our nation’s value and ethics”.
The regulatory body has urged stakeholders and members of the public to send valuable information and insights that can aid with the development of the rebrand Nigeria campaign.
