Telecommunications giant Globacom has announced the return of its highly anticipated “Festival of Joy” promotion, designed to reward loyal customers with an array of exciting prizes. The end-of-year promo, which began on October 1, 2024, and runs through January 31, 2025, offers a wide range of rewards, including five Toyota Prado SUVs, five Kia Picanto cars, tricycles, power generators, sewing machines, and grinding machines.
In a statement released in Lagos, Globacom highlighted that while many companies are cutting costs due to prevailing economic challenges, it is determined to brighten its customers’ festive season by offering life-enhancing prizes. The promo is in line with Globacom’s commitment to empowering its subscribers as the year comes to a close.
According to the company, the prizes have been carefully selected to appeal to various customer segments, from high-net-worth individuals to students, professionals, and business owners. Globacom will host prize-presentation events across several major cities in Nigeria, including Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Benin, and Warri.
Both new and existing prepaid and postpaid customers are eligible to participate in the “Festival of Joy” promo. To enter, customers need to dial *611#, select the prize they are targeting, and recharge up to the required amount. For example, a cumulative recharge of N100,000 qualifies a customer for a chance to win a Toyota Prado, while N50,000 makes one eligible for a Kia Picanto. Other prize categories require smaller recharge amounts, such as N10,000 for a tricycle and N5,000 for a power generator.
Globacom noted that both physical and electronic recharges count towards qualifying for the draws, with the likelihood of winning increasing as customers recharge more.
Last year, 24-year-old accountant Hussain Kehinde Garuba made headlines by winning a three-bedroom house in Lagos through the promo, while other customers also received significant rewards.
