Diageo has announced the appointment of Ngozi Aghomi as the new Manufacturing Operations Director at Diageo Plainfield. Aghomi, known for her exceptional leadership as the Supply Chain Director at Guinness Ghana Breweries Plc, brings a wealth of experience and innovation to her latest role, highlighting Diageo’s dedication to operational excellence and innovation.
Aghomi, who previously served as the Supply Chain Director at Guinness Ghana Breweries Plc, a subsidiary of Diageo, brings a wealth of experience and a track record of driving operational efficiencies. During her tenure, she successfully navigated Ghana’s challenging economic conditions, including double-digit inflation, and led the Supply STEM Program, which increased female representation in the supply chain sector from 2% to 18% over three years.
Before her role in Ghana, Aghomi held various key positions at Diageo’s Guinness Nigeria Plc, including Supply Chain Director (Ag) and Site Director at the Ogba Brewery Site. She managed critical supply chain operations during the COVID-19 pandemic and the END-SARS crisis. Her career also includes significant roles at Kimberly-Clark SSA’s West, East, and Central Africa regions, and at Nestle Nigeria Plc, where she oversaw complex supply chain functions.
Aghomi’s academic credentials include an MBA from Lagos Business School, an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Benin. She has also participated in international MBA study tours at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and IESE Business School in Barcelona.
