Chris Wulff-Caesar, an esteemed International Business Executive with over two decades of experience spanning multiple countries and the FMCG sector, is set to take on the pivotal role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Unilever Ghana Limited, effective April 1, 2024.
This announcement marks a significant development in the industry, underscoring Wulff-Caesar’s wealth of expertise and proven track record in driving growth and innovation within the consumer goods landscape.
In his new capacity, Chris will assume leadership over all facets of Unilever’s operations in Ghana, tasked with steering the company towards continued growth and success in the region.
With a career spanning 24 years in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry across various countries, Chris brings a depth of knowledge and experience to his new role. Prior to joining Unilever Ghana, he held the position of Marketing Director for sub-Saharan Africa at FrieslandCampina, where he oversaw brands and marketing initiatives across 44 countries within a €600 million business.
Before his tenure at FrieslandCampina, Chris held several leadership positions at ABInBev, SABMiller, and Unilever, playing instrumental roles in brand management and market expansion strategies. Notably, he served as the Marketing Director for West Africa at ABInBev and held key roles such as Category Expansion/Innovation Manager for Africa and Marketing Director for Ghana at SABMiller.
Chris is recognized as a fellow of the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria (NIMN) and an Associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). He holds a BA (Honors) Degree in Economics from the University of Ghana and an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School of the Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, United Kingdom.
Returning to Unilever, where he commenced his career as a management trainee in 1999, Chris demonstrates unwavering dedication and commitment to the company’s success. He is married to Anita, and together they have three teenage children. In his leisure time, Chris enjoys exploring new environments, honing his skills as a BBQ griller, and supporting football clubs Hearts of Oak and Manchester United. Additionally, he actively contributes to non-profit organizations focused on infrastructure development for primary education in underprivileged communities.
