BrandEye Media, a leading media strategy and buying company, clinched the Gold award at the 2024 Pitcher Festival of Creativity. The festival, held from May 16th-18th, celebrated excellence in media execution, planning, and creative strategy across Africa. BrandEye Media’s winning entry was for the “Jameson Distillery on Tour” campaign for Pernod Ricard, Nigeria, under the Use of Integrated Media category.
The festival recognized several outstanding campaigns from Nigeria and Ghana. In the category of Excellence in Media Execution, Beiersdorf Nigeria’s “NIVEA Radiant and Beauty” campaign by Carat Nigeria won Gold. Other notable winners included Tecno’s “Light, Camera, Tecno!” and Heineken/Goldberg Black’s “Local Resonance,” both receiving Silver awards.
The Use of Insights and Strategy category saw Gold awards go to Beiersdorf Nigeria’s “NIVEA Radiant and Beauty” and FCCPC’s “Don’t burn their future” by X3M Marketing Ideas. Silver awards in this category were given to “Malta Guinness- Women’s Premier League” by mediaReach OMD Ghana and “The Beat and Tecno” by PHD Nigeria.
For the Use of Integrated Media, Gold awards went to MTN’s “Let’s Go 5G” by PHD Nigeria and Beiersdorf Nigeria’s “NIVEA Radiant and Beauty” by Carat Nigeria. The Grand Prix was awarded to AB InBev’s “Reclaim Your DNA” by Dentsu Creative Nigeria.
The festival also honored campaigns leveraging cultural insights and influencers, with the Grand Prix going to “Reclaim Your DNA” by AB InBev/Trophy Extra Special Stout. Gold awards in this segment included Cadbury’s “Give A Generous Voice to Storytime” by Dentsu Kenya and “Wazzii: A Space for You” by Girl Effect and Shape History.
