The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has announced the appointment of Mr. Jonathan Oyovwevotu as the new Director, entrusted with the vital administrative responsibilities within the association. In affirming this decision, the AAAN underscores Mr. Oyovwevotu’s extensive professional background and exemplary career trajectory, emphasizing the anticipated positive impact on the efficient management of the association.
In an official statement, it was conveyed that Mr. Jonathan Oyovwevotu officially assumed the role of Director at the AAAN Secretariat on Thursday, January 4, 2024. His appointment is marked by a wealth of experience garnered over the years. Mr. Oyovwevotu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Biochemistry and Nutrition from the prestigious University of Ibadan. Additionally, he possesses a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Management, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing, and a Master of Information Science (MInfSc).
The newly appointed Director’s professional journey boasts significant roles, including his tenure as a System Analyst/Automation Librarian at the University of Lagos, Senior Executive in training at Insight Grey, and Account Planning Controller at Insight Grey. His career further evolved at TBWA\Concept Limited, where he served in various capacities such as Head of Planning, Planning Director, and Group Business Director. Notably, Mr. Oyovwevotu served as the Country Director of MW DDB in Douala, Cameroon, before returning to Lagos as Group Executive, Shared Services at the Casers Group.
A noteworthy distinction in his professional affiliations is Mr. Oyovwevotu’s status as an Associate Member of Advertising Registered Practitioner of Nigeria (arpa) and a Member of the Account Planning Group (APG) in the United Kingdom. His comprehensive skill set and industry insights, combined with his diverse roles, make him a valuable addition to the AAAN. Married with children, Mr. Oyovwevotu brings to the association not only a wealth of professional expertise but also a sense of commitment and dedication.
