Tinubu to Serve as Chief Host as WPRF 2026 Comes to Abuja; Hichilema Confirmed as Keynote Speaker

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management has confirmed high-level participation for the upcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), scheduled to take place in Abuja, Nigeria, from 15 to 21 November 2026, with African heads of state and global communication leaders set to headline the global gathering.

In an announcement issued from Portugal, President of the Global Alliance, Prof. Justin Green, disclosed that Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has accepted the role of Chief Host, while Zambia’s President, Hakainde Hichilema, will serve as Keynote Speaker at the event.

Prof. Green described the acceptance of both African presidents as a significant milestone, noting that it reflects strong continental ownership and readiness to deliver what he called the “biggest, brightest and boldest” edition of the World Public Relations Forum. He said Africa’s leadership involvement demonstrates its growing influence in shaping global communication discourse.

The Global Alliance also confirmed that senior international communication figures will participate in the week-long programme, including United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Global Communication, Melissa Fleming, and INTERPOL Director of Communications, Samuel Heath, both of whom are expected to contribute as speakers.
