National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria Ikeja Ends Health Week with Fitness Session
The Ikeja Chapter of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) concluded its 2026 Health Week with an energizing fitness and wellness session at i-Fitness Gym, Lagos, bringing members together for a day of aerobics, cardio workouts, and health-focused engagement.
The event provided members with an opportunity to relax, recharge, and reinforce the importance of healthy living in today’s demanding professional environment. The fitness session also reflected the Chapter’s commitment to promoting physical wellbeing, mental wellness, and healthier lifestyle habits among marketing professionals.
Speaking during the event, the Chairman of the Chapter, Mrs. Onome Odili, emphasized the need for professionals to prioritize their health and wellbeing, noting that productivity and career success are closely linked to physical and mental fitness.
Also speaking, Past Chairman, Dr. Kenny Joda, commended the Chapter for championing wellness initiatives that encourage members to adopt healthier lifestyles. He stressed that wellness should be embraced as a continuous lifestyle rather than an occasional activity.
Members present at the event included the Vice Chairman, Mrs. Nana Milangrosa Utomi; Rasheed Adeniyi, General Secretary; Roseline Abaraonye, Assistant Secretary; Adekemi Alegbeleye, Financial Secretary; and Stephen Okoh, Public Relations Officer, among others.
As part of the week-long programme, participants engaged in conversations around key health topics including Heart Health: Recognizing Early Signs of Cardiovascular Risk, Mental Health in the Workplace: Breaking the Stigma, Wellness and Wealth: The Role of Mental Health, Preventing Lifestyle Diseases: A Strategic Approach to Long-Term Health, and Managing Stress and Avoiding Burnout as a Marketing Professional.
The initiative highlighted the Chapter’s growing focus on holistic wellbeing, underscoring the importance of maintaining a healthy body and mind for sustained productivity and professional excellence.
