NIMN Elevates MIPAN Past President Adelusi, 22 Others as Fellows

Twenty-three accomplished marketing professionals, including Dr. Adelusi Olufemi, immediate past President of the Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) and Chairman of the Heads of Advertising Sectorial Groups (HASG), and Roseline Abaraonye, Marketing Director at Imperio International Limited, have been inducted as Fellows of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN).

The fellows were formally inducted during the investiture ceremony of the NIMN President, Dr. Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi, held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. Dr. Bayo-Ajayi, who was elected in June, succeeded Mr. Idorenyen Enang, making history as the Institute’s first female president.

The ceremony, themed “Leadership, Trust, and Brand Sustainability,” brought together industry leaders, regulators, academics, and corporate executives to reflect on the evolving role of marketing leadership in a rapidly changing business environment. A keynote address delivered by renowned business leader, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, set the tone for the event, highlighting the growing imperative for ethical leadership in a marketplace increasingly influenced by consumer consciousness, digital disruption, and global competition.

The theme underscored the urgency of credibility, trust, and long-term value creation as central pillars of sustainable brand building in Nigeria and across global markets.

Among those inducted as Fellows were Tonye Preghafi, Group Head, Corporate Resources and Strategy, Red Star Express Plc; Tolulope Olanipekun, Head of Marketing, Mouka; Dr. Kelvin Enokie Briberna, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Law, Niger Delta University; Mfon Bassey, Head of Trade Marketing, Nigerian Breweries Plc; and Sandra Sundayba Amachree, Head of Communications, The Heineken Company.

Other newly inducted Fellows include Sunday Adeolu Fasipe, Taiwo Akinola, Hon. Ebizi Rosemary Ndiomu C. Brown, Jolaoso Gbenga Victor, Willie Etim Willie, Dr. Emmanuel Ifeanyi Anyanwu, Ayo Omodara Olugbenga, Oluwaseyifunmi Ebenezer Oyewunmi, Seun Oliwo, Ronke Osho, Nasir Mansur Mohammed, Ifeoma Okafor-Obi, Dr. Adatire Micheal Okumagba, Taiye Ebun, Akoree Idenedo, and Olugbenga Olusola Onowo.

The induction of the new Fellows reflects NIMN’s commitment to recognising outstanding professional achievement, leadership, and ethical practice in marketing, while strengthening the Institute’s role in shaping standards and advancing the marketing profession in Nigeria.
